Question no. 1 (c) are Electromagnetic or mechanical meters with a digital output acceptable for DN250, DN300, and DN 400.
Answer no. 1 (c) they are acceptable, though we specified ultrasonic smart meters.
Question no. 2: We also know that either you are looking for a prepaid or non-pre-pay solution – do you have a preference?
Answer no. 2 The technical proposal form of the tender document, the requirements of the minimum specification for smart cold-water meters at the features and requirements specifies as follows: Customizable to pre-pay and non-pre-pay mode: Ability to customize locally by utility administrator to prepaid and non-prepaid Mode.
The specific smart meter envisaged here is a meter with the ability of both features. A meter that is both pre-paid and can also be used as non-prepaid; customizable from within the water utility.
This addresses a requirement of consumers like institutions who require an invoice at the end of a billing period and normal customers who buy credits for their daily consumption.
On preference, we don’t have a preference but a smart water meter with both features.
Question no 3: We also note that you would like the system to be able to communicate with your servers/ ERP software but do not see a provision for a system to integrate the meters into the servers.

Any other communication method is still acceptable as long
as it will allow seamless communication between the meter and the billing system (ERP), and

(b) Is a payment platform necessary if using a non-prepay option?
Answer no. 3 (b) The payment platform is necessary for the prepaid meters. The platform will receive and credit the customer account to enable them to draw water.

The Nakuru rural water and Sanitation Company Limited invites sealed quotations from eligible candidates to purchase live trees on as-is –and –where-basis is.
Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information from, and inspect the quotation documents at the Nakuru rural water and Sanitation Company Limited (Procurement office), on Stanley Mathenge Road. Off Industrial Area, Nakuru during normal working hours.

The Government of Kenya (GoK) through its road implementing agency Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has embarked upon a Public Private Partnership (PPP) process under the Kenyan 1st mover roads PPP programme to develop the Nairobi – Nakuru – Mau Summit Highway (A8) PPP Project on Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer (DBFOMT) framework. Among the requirements for Financial Close and subsequent commencement of the road works to be met by GoK is the provision of a right of way free from encumbrances, which requires relocation of water and sewerage infrastructure within the project road reserve.
Mandatory site visit and a pre – bid meeting shall be organized by the Employer (NARUWASCO) as specified in the tender documents and shall be undertaken in compliance to the Covid – 19 Regulations.
Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with Tender name and reference number and deposited in the Tender Box at Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company Ltd, along Stanley Mathenge Road, off industrial area and addressed to

to be received on or before 30th March 2021, 12.00pm East African Time.
Tenders will be opened thereafter on 30th March 2021 in the presence of Tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend at the Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company Ltd, board room.
